The Clockwork Beast is a robot, possibly a cyborg, created by Klogg to protect the castle. The Clockwork Beast is released by pressing a button in the throne room, and comes up from underground in a strange, test tube like container. The Clockwork Beast is huge and with mechanical features such as eyes, helmet, and claws - possibly a humanoid bird. The Clockwork Beast also has a small patrol vehicle attached to his back called the Bear Retrieval Units.
Klogg deployed it after Big Robot Bil, Klaymen, and Willie Trombone headed to the castle to overthrow him.
The Fight[]
When the beast emerges, Willie seems to recognize it and yells, "Clockwork Beast! Clockwork Beast! We're doomed!", and then runs into a strange metal device inside Bil before passing out. During the fight, the Beast destroyed Bil's Teddy Bear, after receiving it from the Bear Retrieval Units. After it destroys the bear, Bil throws the Beast off the Neverhood. The fight ultimately causes the death of Willie and Bil (though they are revived if the Good Ending is chosen).
